Myofascial Isolation is a comprehensive look at the muscles and movement. MI is a technique designed to relieve pain and restrictions in the body. By applying pressure on the origin, insertion and trigger points of the specific muscle and stretching the muscle in the direction of the fiber runs (usually toward origin and insertion). The dermatomes in the body are also taken into consideration. This allows the release of the muscle fibers that create tendon and ligament attachments. This technique breaks up pain patterns in the body.
Myofascial Isolation Upper Extremities is a comprehensive look at the Upper Extremities muscles and movement. The study of their functions, origin, insertion, and fiber runs. It is a unique blend of Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release and Isolation stretching. In the context of this course, Myofascial Isolation is performed with the intent of improving medical conditions or pathologies that have been prescribed by a physician.
